Very cute doll
This doll is one of the nicest-looking fashion dolls I have seen in a while. My daughter loves Barbie and the Disney Princesses, but this doll is cuter than any of those. This version of the Andalasia Giselle (the animated portion of the movie Enchanted) has a cartoon-like quality that is a very refreshing departure from the Barbie look. My daughter is thrilled that she looks just like the animated Giselle from the movie. My daughter is very happy with this doll.
Enchanted doll
Bought this doll after seeing the movie Enchanted. Very cute doll, and a good addition to a Disney collection.
Not worth more than $10, but still a pretty doll
I definitely don't think anyone should pay over $10 for this doll because it's pretty simple and doesn't really have any fancy embellishments that would make it worth more. Her dress is as simple a design as they come, and her hair is kind of messy even just after taking her out of the box.
That said, it's still a very pretty doll, and reminds me a lot of Ariel. Giselle is Disney's second redheaded princess, and this doll represents the "animated" version of her from the movie Enchanted, as opposed to the more expensive and more complex wedding, which represents the "live-action" version. Personally, I prefer the animated version because she has bigger eyes and more exaggerated features, and dolls are all about pretend, so too realistic can be boring.
One of my favorite aspects of this Giselle doll is the flowers she has very loosely glued to her hair. If small children play with her, though, I can easily see these flowers coming loose, falling off, and getting lost, so that might be something to consider. I also like the ribbons hanging from her waistline a lot. They're very shimmery, giving her dress that "princess" feel, and they curl very much like the ribbons you would curl and hang from balloons. The curl of the ribbons compliments the two curls she has in her hair which you're supposed to find and toss over her shoulders like in the picture.
